The Behavioral Leadership Method

Four moments most women leaders recognize

Choose a situation below. You will see what was spoken, how the room tends to interpret it, and the behavioral adjustment that changes the response. The four meters track the same dimensions measured in the Women’s Leadership Assessment, so you can watch the read shift as the delivery is calibrated.

01
What you said
“I hear the concerns, and I still think this is the right direction for us.”
02
How it was interpreted
A second justification reads as an opening. The room registers your reasoning as a negotiation rather than a decision, so the same objection returns next week with more support behind it.
03
The behavioral move
Give the decision once, name the specific concern you weighed, and hand the next step to a named owner in the same sentence. The concern is honored, and the decision stays settled.

Influence46

About Sherice Pagel

Founder, coach, and student of how people respond

Sherice Pagel believes women should not have to become louder, harder, or more performative to have greater influence.

Her work starts with understanding people. What drives them, what creates resistance, what earns their trust, and what makes them willing to commit to a decision or direction.

Through Behavioral Leadership, Sherice helps accomplished women understand the behavior underneath the situations they deal with every day, including difficult conversations, uneven buy-in, resistance, and the ways perception can affect how their leadership is received.

Sherice is the founder of Pagel Leadership Group, a U.S. Army veteran, Certified Maxwell Leadership Coach, and Robbins-Madanes Strategic Intervention Coach. Since 2010, she has coached and trained hundreds of leaders, including leaders within Fortune 500 companies and across multiple branches of the U.S. military.

She is also the host of Her Influence: Behavioral Leadership with Sherice Pagel, where she explores what women need to understand about themselves and the people they influence.

Her work is designed to help accomplished women understand people more deeply so they can make better decisions about how to communicate, influence, and lead.
